Do you know who Massimo VIgnelli is, isn’t it? If no, shame on you! Maybe you’ve seen million of times the infographic of the NYC subway and you haven’t never realized that a genius from Italy designed it! Now you know! Anyway, last March 8, The Architectural League gave its President’s Medal to Lella and Massimo Vignelli “in recognition of a body of work so influential in its breadth that it has shaped the very way we see the world”. The gala party was set i Manhattan and invitations and poster were especially designed by Pentagram‘s Creative Director Michael Bierut that started his brilliant career more than 30 years ago, working as Junior Designer at Vignelli’s Studio.
