LEE and Mode2 in Berlin

Ha aperto i battenti a Berlino il flagship store targato LEE. Per l'evento, è stato chiamato a customizzare 200 Riders Jacket nientepopodimenoché Mode2, che ha eseguito un dripping sulle tele delle giacche. Inutile dirvi che le Jacket sono state polverizzate in pochi secondi. Grande Mode2!
LEE has just opened a Flagship Store in Berlin. For the celebration of the event, Mode2, the infamous artist customized 200 Riders Jacket with a black and white dripping. Jacket were terrific and they've gone in a second. VIVA Mode2!

La prima volta che abbiamo avuto modo di vedere le opere di Ron Mueck dal vivo, è stato qualche anno fa, alla Saatchi Gallery. Rimanemmo allibiti, sconcertati, piacevolmente sorpresi dalle sue opere. L'iper-realismo delle sue creazioni ed i continui "cambio-scala" con facce enormi e vecchietti minuscoli ci spiazzò non poco. E' arte? Sì. Crediamo proprio di sì, anche se molti, i più puristi, non la considerano tale. In generale diffidiamo dei "puristi" e dei loro giudizi, e quindi vi consigliamo, sempre che siate nei paraggi, di farvi un pomeriggio al Brooklyn Museum (200, Eastern Parkway > Prospect Park, NYC), per vedere le sue ultime opere esposte, sempre bellissime, sempre enigmatiche, mai banali. Avete tempo fino al 4 Febbraio. Magari potreste infilarlo nel week end che vi farete sotto Capodanno a NYC.
