'In my recent work I have been cutting up sketches and rearranging them to create new compositions. These collages are not about one object, but about a collection of particles, in which the element of chaos is introduced. I use these compositions as works in themselves, but also as a basis for new works on canvas or other mediums. This theme I have called 'overgrowth'.
I can see a comparison between graffiti and uncontrolled urban growth; both as a random growing mould.'
