CuBe # 5
CUBE™ is an art bookzine printed in 1001 copies. Last issue, just released, is the Number 5 and we've been lucky enough to browse a copy. The first impression is that this issue is even better than the previous ones. In particular we've found really interesting the monographic part dedicated to a series of unpublished photos of landscapes by Craig Stecyk III.
And more: the project made by Jöel Tettamanti in Qaqortoq (Greenland), with the coloured houses creating a contrast with the pure white of the snow is simply fantastic. Not to mention the homage paid to Giorgio Morandi by Duane Michals ... and we could go on and on.
The list of artists featured in this issue is impressive. Together with the previously mentioned, you'll find there also artworks by Peter Sutherland, Geoffroy de Boismenu, Delta, Mode2, Marc Gouby, Gareth McConnell, Boogie, Danijel Zezelj, Harri Peccinotti, Thierry Ledé and many others...
Don't ask us where is possible to get a copy of it, because Cube™ is not for sale and it is given to a selected list of "lucky" people.

NoWhere > 16 YeArS LaTer...
In 1993 Jun Takahashi and Nigo opened a very small space in Harajuku, Tokyo, called Nowhere. It was, in a certain way, an epoch-making event for the Streetwear's World. Next 17th of January, 16 years later, Nowhere will be back, in a special space that Dover Street Market will be opening in its basement. We can't wait. Simply we can't wait. We just need to book a plane for London. NOW!

Marco Marzocchi aka Marzok is a guy full of resources: he's a deep music lover, he's been one of the most important italian skater in the early '90s and he is, above all, a talented photographer. Next 13th of December there will be the Opening of his new Photographic Exhibition, called "ELECTRIC RAINBOW" at MelePere Gallery in Verona, Italy. If we were you, we wouldn't miss it out!!!

ViDeO oF ThE WeeK: Alchemist Lose Your Life
Today's most in demand-hip-hop producer extraordinarie, The Alchemist, is back with a new Digital EP titled CookBooK.
Following the first single Key to the City, this is Loose Your life feat Snoop Dog, Jadakiss and Pusha T. We like the beat, a bit less the gangster lyrics, but we absolutely love the Video. It has been produced by the legendary West Coast Graffiti artist Devin Flynn creator of the animated show "Y'all so Stupid", one of my favourite TV program at the moment. The video idea is a mix between Alchemist's Rap zombie visions and Dr Dre The Formula/Frankenstein ideas.
The result is brilliant, video of the week, no doubts!!!

We Like: NiGeL CaBourN
In a previous post we've mentioned a new Brand that "shocked" us for its beauty and obsession for fabrics and details: Nigel Cabourn. Looking at their Collection, it seems like they enjoyed taking old classics twisting in a modern way, by using hi-tech materials. As we already said, Peacoat is a masterpiece, with astonishing leather inserts. It worths that money! Check here for more info about their releases, the stockists and, to have a complete overview of the FW'08 Collection.
