The ICON ProJect

Ladies and gentlemen, we're really proud to introduce you to "THE ICON PROJECT": a series of 8 products manufactured in a very limited number, as a tribute to Nike's 8 most iconic pieces. Designed and produced for Nike by LALO, a loose collaborative unit which works on one-off projects for various brands. LALO involves some of the creative talent behind the seminal british label Silas and Maria.

The 8 products look great, carefully manufactured as they have been by artisans, using high quality materials like saddle leather, silver details, cashmere. Each item comes in a hand made stamped box and is individually labelled and numbered. The labels are hand embroidered and the branding consists of a small engraved swoosh on the silver beads and zip pulls that decorate them.

Until here, the good news. Do you want to know the bad ones? THE ICON PROJECT is run in a ultra limited production (64 pieces in total) and it is not meant for commercial use. It will only be available to Nike top celebrity clientele.

UnDerCover® STore, MINaMi AoYAmA

There is a fil rouge in all of the Jun Takahashi's works: the research for beauty! That kind of obsession allowed him to reinvent the fashion system in a provocative and spectacular way. You can find, now, the same obsession for clothes also in his last creature: the new UnderCover® Flagship Store in Aoyama, Tokyo. We could say that it is fantastic, clean, revolutionary and elegant, but we think that the pics we received speak for themselves. So, enjoy!

DazedDigital got in touch with her and had an interesting chat. Check it out! Well done sista!

UnDerCover® Show /////

Despite a boring (and painy) broken foot and the necessity to walk with boring (and uncomfortable) pair of crutches, last night we went to the UnderCover Event in Giardino dei Boboli, Firenze. Let's start to say that all the pain we felt was completely repayed by the beauty of the show. The Show was composed by the presentation of the Men's Collection and the "Doll's Making" Show. The fashion Show was unbelievable: Collection was damn good and innovative and, in a certain way, a "next level". After the fashion show, we all moved to a different location even better than the previous one, to watch Jun himself operating live on the "Doll's making". Doll making was impressive, visionary and a bit psychedelic, due to the perpetual electronic soundtrack; something impossible to forget. The final result was wonderful and really moving.

8 MinuTES : HIRst & BAiLeY

The premise of this book couldn’t be simpler: 130 photographs of Damien Hirst taken by David Bailey during a single shoot lasting eight minutes. Each pose is spontaneous and determined not by Bailey but by Hirst, who mocks the camera with his tongue poked out, mouth open wide and hands pulling at his cheeks.

We haven't decided yet: is this a genius idea, or is it just crap?!?

Anyway, you can buy a copy of the book here.

The DOPE FAcTORY

Even if we live in a "global world" where is possible to find everything, everywhere, we still have some difficulties to put our hands on the stuff we love. Ebay is plenty with fakes and japanese online stores are generally damn expensive, plus they usually don't ship oversea. For those reasons, when we finally discovered the Dope Factory website we couldn't believe it was real. We simply tought it was a joke. Happily it's not a joke, but a dream that come true; a place where is possible to find the hottest stuff at the coolest price! If you are after brands such as Neighborhood, Visvim, Nike, Head Porter or PAM you can't miss to bookmark their address and check it constantly.
